Aug/Sept 2024 Athletes of the Month
We are proud to announce the Aug/Sept Athletes of the Month, Ms. Addi O’Connor & Ms. Josie Mckibben. They were selected for outstanding athletic performances, achievements, and leadership on the tennis courts.
Addi and Josie have emerged as the Girls' Tennis team’s dynamic doubles duo! They intimidated their opponents with an unbeaten record for both themselves and their team throughout the 2024 regular season. Dominating every SBAAC League and Non-League match, their relentless performance earned them First Team All-Star honors in the SBAAC National Division. Both players will be recognized with plaques at the Fall Banquet for their achievements.
What makes their success even more impressive is that both girls were new to tennis just last season. Despite this, they quickly rose to become fierce competitors, finishing the season with a perfect 10-0 conference record and a flawless 13-0 overall tally.
Off the court, Addi shines as a member of the girls’ bowling team while juggling a part-time job at the Flash Sports Complex. Josie excels as a competitor playing for the Lady G-Men and her AAU basketball teams. Their discipline and drive, both in tennis and in other sports, make them standout athletes we are proud to have as Lady G-Men!
