In anticipation of their robot wars competition in May, we continue to 3D print bots. Today, we began the assembly process. With the help of our favorite computer science students from Southern State, our 6th-grade STEM students began wiring their battle bots. They learned to solder custom cables to wire the electronics needed for the bot to move. #IgniteInspireInstill

STEM students engaged with engineering, architecture, & history through the context of the World Fair & Eiffel Tower. Students strengthened their measurement skills by reading a blueprint to create their own Eiffel Tower model and helping them understand how dimensions and proportions are translated from a blueprint to a physical structure. Custodial staff collaborated when Mr. Dotson thoughtfully provided the blueprints of our school for the students to explore—allowing them to see real-world application of blueprints and build an understanding of how buildings are designed and constructed. #IgniteInspireInstill
