THE GEORGETOWN EXEMPTED VILLAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT
IGNITE - INSPIRE - INSTILL
Now that we are up running for the 2021-22 school year, I wanted to share the Georgetown Exempted Village School District’s strategic plan. This plan was created by parents, teachers, board of education members and other school staff members. Through the focused efforts of the team, a working document was created that will guide the school district over the next three to five years. This guide will allow us to empower students with personalized experiences and GEVSD will be the destination for an education that IGNITES PASSION, INSPIRES ACTION and INSTILLS GREATNESS in the future of every student. WE BELIEVE in the power of a growth mindset and that all students can learn if given the right academic support and guidance. WE BELIEVE that a strong relationship between school and home is the foundation to student success. WE BELIEVE learning should be designed for each student to reach their full potential.
Within the strategic plan we have created three overarching goals that we believe will create a learning experience unmatched by other districts. Goal 1: IGNITE PASSION - we will ignite students’ passions through personalized experiences, even those beyond the classroom, in order for students to be successful now and in the future. Goal 2: INSPIRE ACTION - we will inspire student action by expanding opportunities for student learning through additional courses offered as well as continuing to grow programs and career pathways that meet the diverse needs of students. Goal 3 - INSTILL GREATNESS - we will instill greatness within each student and become a destination district by prioritizing the whole child approach to education.
As a district, we are excited about the strategic plan and we are excited by the endless possibilities that await each and every Georgetown student. We welcome all parents and guardians to walk along with us as we support the growth and development of all students.
